About
I’m a filmmaker and recent graduate of Agnes Scott College, where I designed my own interdisciplinary major in Film and Visual Media with a minor in English. My degree combined hands-on production skills with a strong foundation in film theory, spanning courses in media studies, studio art, and cultural analysis. Shaped by my Appalachian upbringing in Tennessee, I carry a deep appreciation for storytelling and grassroots community. These roots fuel my passion for crafting narratives that resonate and inspire.
As Co-President of Student Film Productions, I led campus-wide projects, organized film festivals, and oversaw all stages of production, from development to post. I also worked as a tutor at the Center for Writing and Speaking, where I developed a strong sense of collaboration, communication, and feedback. These experiences taught me that even solitary tasks—whether writing or editing—are strengthened by shared expertise. In both writing and filmmaking, I approach creative work as a collaborative process driven by mutual trust and innovation.
My artistic process strikes a balance between self-reliance and teamwork. Whether I’m conceptualizing a story, directing a scene, or shaping footage in the edit, I trust my creative instincts while staying open to others’ perspectives. I strive to create work that reflects my curiosity, adaptability, and collaborative spirit. Designing my own major was a testament to this ethos: when no existing program fit my interdisciplinary vision, I built one myself. I’m always eager to connect with other creatives and professionals to keep learning, growing, and telling impactful stories.
